Even though I tell people most supplements are mostly placebo-effect but still there are the few that are notable and well worth the buy.

1. Whey protein

If you are in the game of gaining muscle this product is a must! I tried working out without it and I gained around 10 pounds in 3 months. When I started on whey I gained 10 pounds within the first 2 weeks !It is also a must if you are trying to lose weight! Its not commonly known that running to lose fat also loses muscle along with the fat and its crucial to drink a shake before you run to keep your muscle and promote fat lost .The great thing about whey is that it has around 90% bio-availability and it can be stored for quite a long time and very convenient to consume and travel with. Price/Performance ratio I give it 10/10

2. Creatine

Hitting the #2 spot is creatine, which should come to no surprise since it is one of the more effective supplements in history. It has literally hundreds of studies supporting its ability to boost muscle growth and strength . Creatine makes you stronger by saturating your cells with the fast energy they need to perform at the gym! If you plan to buy some creatine monohydrate remember to drink it down with juice or a drink with glucose to make sure it gets to your cells quickly and fully. Since some of the supplement companies make the price of their creatine incredibly high , I give it a 8/10

3. Multivitamins

Multivitamins are very important whether your goal is to lose weight , gain muscle or both. It ensures you get all the critical micronutrients. This is especially true for those who don’t eat enough vegetable and fruits, which provides valuable anti-oxidants to assist muscle recovery and overall health. Taking multivitamins will prevent vitamin deficiencies , which could hinder your gains. I give multivitamins
10/10 , cheap and effective.

4. Casein Protein

Casein is the major protein in milk. It is extremely slow digesting which makes it great before bed, to continuously supply your muscle with food so you will not reach catabolic state while your 7-10 hour fast at night. Which is important so you won’t lose any of your hard work. I give it 7/10 because it is pretty expensive and I much rather drink milk or eat some cottage cheese. But to some people milk is to fatting so I recommend this product to those.

5.Arginine/N.o products

Arginine is an amino acid that is a vaso-dilator(Widens/make more elastic blood vessels) so you get more of a “pump” and it delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the cells. Most N.o products contain a load of caffeine which makes you hyper and give you a desire to go to the gym. It is the most effective during the first 3 times you use it but if you use it on a daily basis it will lose the effects of the caffeine. Supplement companies make these stuff way too over-priced, I give it a 5/10. but if you got the money to spend , its great for the days when you don’t have the will to get your butt to the gym !
