Green tea extract (GTE) is a well-liked weight loss supplement that improves blood vessel health and blood sugar control. It isn’t a magical formula that immediately enhances metabolic health, but it does have benefits. Scientists suggest that chemicals in the supplement called catechins, particularly epigallocatechin-3-gallate, help enhance metabolic health, fight free radical formation and decrease fat. In addition, green tea extract enhances the health of the endothelium (the inner lining of blood vessels), which reduces resistance to blood flow and decreases blood pressure.

Green tea extract endorses metabolic health

A study led by Italia Papperella from the University of Padova in Italy has revealed that GTE decreases blood pressure and Prevented hear enlargement in animals by changing free radical metabolism. Free radicals are extremely reactive chemicals produced naturally during metabolism that are connected to the process of growing older, immune system breakdown, heart disease and even cancer.

Other studies discovered that GTE slowed cell death in cell cultures and endorsed recovery after cardiac arrest or stroke. An eleven year study in thousands of Japanese adults found that people who drank the largest amounts of green tea had reduced death rates from all causes and from cardiovascular disease compared to people who didn’t drink green tea. Green tea extract is an excellent supplement that endorses metabolic health and speeds the process of weight loss.
