There are many fitness myths out created either by the supplement companies or just people spreading rumors. Lets get to the bottom of top 5 most popular myths about fitness.

Myth #1: You will get abs if you do 1000 sit ups a day!
This is one of the most commonly spoken myths drilled into your mind by greedy corporate heads that only want your money. Truth is you can not target body fat, meaning you can not specifically work out a body part that you want to lose fat off. Your body will lose fat off random places. Unfortunately for most people belly fat and chest fat are the last places they come off and the first place its stored.

Myth #2: Women shouldn’t work out because they will get the muscular look !
Nope. In order to gain muscle you need testosterone. You need hundreds and hundreds of deciliter of testosterone in order to gain that bulky look. Average testosterone for a women is 20-80 deciliter which isn’t nearly enough to gain the bulging muscles of a male.

Myth #3: Supplements, supplements, supplements!
Yes some supplements will help but most supplements are highly overrated or even just placebo-effect. Main thing is to go to the gym and work out hard and eat a good healthy balance diet for your body type and goals.

Myth #4: If you don’t get sore the next day it means you haven’t worked out hard enough!
Not absolutely true. Most people that train on a regular basis will only get sore for the first few weeks they start training. Your body will just get used to your routine and will continue growing. BUT if you do not see results its time to change your routine or you are over-training (Search Over-training)

Myth #5: Everything eaten after 9:00 p.m turns into fat!
Not necessarily true , As long as you stick to protein and complex carbs you should be fine (Doesn’t mean to binge!) Stay away from simple carbs and fatty foods. Your body need to repair it self after a long and gruesome day with protein and the slow digesting carbs that will feed you body slowly by slowly unlike simple carbs that will all be digested at once and the extra energy will be stored as fat.
